Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Know-it-all
Today's Know-it-all: Luz Martinez, Marketing Coordinator for Uptown Shelby Association
What she knows: If you love outdoor family activities, you are going to love our next sweet honey of a film: "Bee Movie." It is the last movie of the season in our Wachovia Movies a la Mode series.
What's up? Everyone is welcome to enjoy this kid-friendly movie. We set up in the parking lot behind the Chamber building on the corner of Warren and Lafayette streets.
Why you should care? This is a perfect opportunity for the family to spend some time together underneath the stars. Kids can meet their friends, talk and play while the movie starts; and everyone can enjoy a family-favorite film while having a refreshing drink and popcorn on a warm summer evening.
When? July 25 about 8:30 p.m., when it gets dark. The movie series co-sponsors are Shelby Camera and Video and Uptown Shelby Association.
What to do? This is a free event! You only need to mark your calendar, bring a lawn chair and come to see "Bee Movie."
Warren Street will be blocked for cars to transform the parking lot into a nice open theatre. Drinks and popcorn will be available so you can invite everyone in your family and all your friends.
