MOUNT HOLLY - Bringing happiness to motorcyclists and singles is the goal of a new Web site produced by Crest graduate Matt McSwain and his partner, Amber Freeze of China Grove.
The site is singles driven, but is much more than that, Freeze said.
"We want people to find the connection that we have, starting off with similar interest and hobbies and from starting a friendship to a relationship.
"We've had the passion for motorcycles our whole lives," Freeze said. "We both were raised on dirt bikes and that is where our love comes from for motorcycles in general."
McSwain rides a One Off 76 shufflehead and Freeze rides a 2007 Harley street bob.
They call their new site "a mix between E-harmony and MySpace," targeting anyone with a passion for all kinds of motorcycles - street bikes, cruisers, Harleys, dirt bikes, customs, ATVs.
Developer Julius Yoder, www.mediatreecreative.com, took one year to build it.
The site links users to new riding buddies, dates, friends and more. On it, you can create your profile, then chat, mail, send comments, make friends, vote for best bike of the month, play games and get the latest on local biking events.
"The response has been great so far," Freeze said. "We even already have a love story in the works - two Gastonia members met and now are dating. They e-mailed us to tell us they are now happier than ever and would not have met without the site."

We want our site to be a place where people discuss and debate ideas that foster stronger communities. We built this for you. Please take care of it. Tolerate broad thinking, but take action against obscene or hateful material. Make it a credible and safe place worth preserving and sharing.
