Dr. and Mrs. Roger Gaddis of Boiling Springs announce the engagement of their daughter, Deborah Dawn Gaddis, to Stephen Kelly Reeves.
An Oct. 18, 2008, wedding is planned for 3:30 p.m. at Boiling Springs Baptist Church.
About the bride-elect: Deborah is the granddaughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. W.F. Woodall of Spindale and the late Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Gaddis of Gastonia. She is a 1998 graduate of Crest High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received a master of divinity degree from the White School of Divinity at Gardner-Webb University in 2006. Deborah is a life member of Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society and the UNC General Alumni Association. She is the former president of the School of Divinity Student Association at Gardner-Webb University. She was ordained to the gospel ministry of Jesus Christ by Boiling Springs Baptist Church in 2006. Deborah is a hospital chaplain at Baptist Health System in San Antonio, Texas.
About the future bridegroom: Stephen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Reeves of Austin, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. H.O. Rowland and the late Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Reeves, all of Anson, Texas. He is a 1996 graduate of Westwood High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He received a doctor of jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2003. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and First Baptist Church of Austin. He is a public policy legislative counsel for The Christian Life Commission of the Baptist General Convention of Texas in Austin.
