Diana Michelle Davis and Dennis Lee Elliott were married Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Gardner-Webb University's Dover Chapel.
Pastor Paul David Kurts officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.
About the bride: Diana is the daughter of Thomas and Danya Davis of Ellenboro. She is the granddaughter of Ted Williams and the late Karen Williams of Mooresboro and Jeanette Davis and the late Bill Davis of Shelby. She is a 2004 graduate of Burns High School and plans to graduate in 2010 from the Wingate University School of Pharmacy. She is a member of NCAP and APHA and is a pharmacy technician at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
About the bridegroom: Dennis is the son of Janet Elliott and the late John Thomas Elliott of Lawndale. He is the grandson of Waynell Costner and the late Reid Costner of Kings Mountain and Thomas Elliott and the late Ruby Elliott of Lawndale. He is a 2003 graduate of Burns High School and a 2007 graduate of N.C. State University. He is a member of Pi Tau Sigma and ASME. He is a mechanical engineer at Baxter Healthcare.
The ceremony: Pianist Martha Fortenbury and vocalist Brian Clark provided the music. The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
The bride's attendants: Shauna Cale of Charlotte was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Katherine Elliott of Dallas and Rachana Jivan of Sacramento, Calif. Flower girl was Katie McCoy of Lenoir.
The bridegroom's attendants: Kevin Elliott of Dallas was best man. Groomsmen were Peter Lao of Raleigh and Mike Geci of Fairfax, Va. Ring bearer was Carter Moore of Greenwood, S.C.
Other attendants: Tiffany Brinegar of Lake Lure attended the register. Grace Costner of Kings Mountain was wedding director.
The reception: Held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
The rehearsal dinner: Hosted by the bridegroom's mother at Ritch Banquet Hall at Gardner-Webb University.
After the wedding: The couple took a trip to Couple's Negril Resort in Negril, Jamaica, and live in Lincolnton.
How they met: The couple met in high school.
